Children’s teeth and jaws are still growing, which is why early checks matter. A short visit can show whether anything needs attention now or can simply be watched while your child grows.

For children

• Early orthodontics: an assessment of growth, bite and crowding, usually from around the age of seven.
• Teeth cleaning: gentle cleaning and advice on looking after growing teeth.

When to bring your child

An orthodontic check around the age of seven is generally recommended, so that any problem with jaw growth or bite can be noticed early. Many children need nothing at that stage, and you will be told if that is the case.
